Great shirt for a specific build of man. I’ve lifted weights since I was a teen and have broad shoulders and am barrel-chested so this shirt is absolutely perfect for me. It fit like a glove the first time I tried it on. It’s super sharp and modern, great fabric, and has garnered many compliments. If you’re like me and have never bought an athletic fit dress shirt before, this is the perfect product to start with.

As is mentioned in existing reviews, the shirt is tight around the belly, so if you’re like me and are athletic build with a little bit of a gut, it serves as a great goal shirt to keep you honest with your fitness game, while still having an acceptable fit in less than perfect shape.

At 5ft9, 165lbs, atheltic build, its VERY difficult to find anything that fits me well, since the American standard is built off of a 6ft, straight cut fit. Everything I try on at literally any other store fits me like a 40 gallon trash bag.

Enter State and Liberty.

I bought a full suit, and off the rack, it felt like it was made specifically for me. This shirt was tailored perfectly, hugging my midsection comfortably, while leaving room in the chest and shoudlers. The length is shorter in the hem, so you can wear it untucked, at the proper zipper length, if you like, without those long front tails.

The shirt is unbelievable soft, and cooling. Its thin, but not thin enough to see through, which is a huge perk.

And my favorite part of all, the semi spread collar is reinforced and has hidden buttons underneath to keep it stout and high. Gone are the floppy bacon collars!

It does come at a price point, but as regular guy with a regular wage, these shirts are worth every penny! I bought one in white and one in black.
