This shirt is one of the reasons I'm a loyal S&L customer. I've owned 'The Oakley' for several months now and have been a fan and client of the brand for over four years. This button down (as well as their other button downs) perfectly solves the classic problem for anyone with an athletic build: finding a shirt that fits your chest and shoulders without being a tent around the waist.

The Fit: For reference, I'm 5'9", 165 lbs. This shirt nails the athletic taper. There's ample room in the shoulders and chest without any pulling or restriction, thanks to the incredible stretch in the fabric. But the best part is the slim, tailored fit through the torso. There's no excess, billowing fabric, which means you get a sharp, custom-tailored look right off the hanger. Think, a nice hug, but not a tailored athlete brand squeeze that makes the buttons stretch and mediums look schmedium (and like you're trying too hard).

Fabric & Details: The pique fabric is fantastic—it's soft, has a subtle texture that's more interesting than a standard Oxford, and it's genuinely breathable and insanely comfortable.

Versatility: This has become my go-to button-down. It looks just as good untucked with a pair of S&L chinos for a smart-casual look as it does tucked in for a more formal setting.
